Wednesday July 8th

Hello Mother, hello Daughter…

We are keeping a diary of the magic as it unfolds.  We will not be posting our entries until after the event so to be fully present with you and to give us time to reflect and settle in back home.   Today, we begin at the beginning…

I packed the car the night before so that I could roll out of bed at dawn and hit the road. The drive was spectacular, especially the stretch through the mountains leading to our forest sanctuary.

When I reached the forest I was awestruck. I have never seen so many butterflies in one place. I had to stop my car and shoo them away from a puddle in the dirt road so I could continue driving toward the rickety wooden bridge without harming them.

I arrived at the sanctuary only a few moments before Becky and her daughters so I set out to explore the grounds and look for Narnia, the shelter we would share.

Narnia is like a three story treehouse with a bamboo railing between us and nature. This is the view from my bed.

With great excitement we all began unpacking and preparing for our guests who were due to arrive the following day.  The beauty of this place is astounding.  Our spirits are soaring!
